First Month of Summer-I'm boring haha

This month has quickly come and gone. I pretty much live payroll to payroll but I can't believe the children have been out of school for almost a month. We have had a pretty low key, out of control summer so far. Kyle has been busy putting the movie theatre back together with his brother with a whole crew of guys, plus trying to stay up on the other business adventures they have going.

Kylee has been to friend's houses, working, attending soccer and volleyball practice and getting up early to workout with me. This week she is off to girl's camp and then she will be off to volleyball camp. Her harp is coming along very nicely and she has started piano lessons. I can't believe how quickly she is growing up.

Willie participated in the summer games here in Cedar City, with the Physically Challenged bowlers and we had such a good time.  He struggled at first because he kept getting gutter balls but a nice man pulled down a bumper for him and then he began to score.  He is so ambitious-he got up at 6 am with us this morning to play racquetball.  He is quite coordinated and really enjoyed it. He goes to work with me and passes out suckers to the little kids and I hope it is helping him not be so shy.

Sandy has already had a great summer. Her cousin Anna wasn't able to attend a violin camp that she signed up for because she wanted to go to girls camp-I don't blame her, I loved girls camp-but Kessa offered the spot to Sandy.  She stayed with Aunt Raquel at Uncle Guy's families place/motel and had a great time. She played with Terry Durbin and other great violinist for 8 hours a day for a whole week. I couldn't believe the change it made in her. She came home more helpful, more responsible and definitely happier. It is a trip she will never forget. I am so grateful for all that was shared with her. Uncle Guy has an incredible family and mother. She was so kind and fed us the entire time and never seemed put out. We really enjoyed getting to know where Uncle Guy was from-I had never been to Tropic, Henrieville or Cannonville. I couldn't live there but it was sure a nice place to get away.

Attie is back playing violin and really excited about the new adventure. I signed her up for playmakers at the Shakespeare festival here in Cedar City. She goes with her cousin Kloie everyday and it has been a great bonding experience. Attie is still a little pistol and we love her dearly. She has a great interest in playing the flute. We have not baptised her yet because we are hoping to move out of this ward but I'm sure we will do the ordinance for her soon.

Ella is such a funny little girl.  She bawls a lot, plays a lot, and is very smart. She has a cute little friend named Aubrey down the street and she really likes Sabrina too. I can't believe she is going into first grade. The time is going so quickly.

Ammon is quite the character. He doesn't wear shoes so his feet hurt him. He says guess what a lot. He loves to play with his friends outside and he really loves Emma. Those two are little pals and I love it.  He fights with everyone at times because he is very aware of the rules. And he still hates going to church. I hope it gets better for him.

Kyle and is pushing forward on the Theatre. He was in a car accident last week and was pretty shook up because he ran a red light and slammed into a family in a mini-van. Thankfully no one was badly hurt. But it still doesn't change the fact that people are shook up. We both hope the other family is doing better and our employee.  This was an experience and it cause quite a road block in the partnership. But I think they have moved past it and in time the right thing will be said to set things straight.

I am still working circles around a few people, sometimes including my husband...haha!! But the laundromat I manage has been hanging in there and I just got word that I am going to be able to put new machines in there and I am trying hard to balance family and work.  I have had a few hoops to jump through but I have decided that if I put my family first everything will work itself out.  But there is something so satisifing in helping and providing a service for others.  My first real chance to give back is coming up and this is exactly the reason I wanted something for myself-Attie is going to play competitive soccer in the fall and spring and I mentioned to the coach that I would sponsor her team with shirts. And she got all excited and so this is just one thing I can do.  I look forward to being more involved with the community and maybe attending more meetings and really getting to know what goes on around here.  I think the movie Theatre is going to be such an assest to this community-if the boys can do it the way it needs to be done.  There are some things that can not happen or it will not be successful-but that is my opinion...

But overall this month has gone by so quickly. And I will be back..
xoxo
