The Close of 2012
I guess it takes walking pneumonia to get me to sit down and relax. We had such a wonderful Christmas and despite our illness (all 8 of us), we have enjoyed our togetherness. December came and went so quickly. I spent all of November & December working for our Theatre. Our manager and event planner called it quits on the same day and being the "irresponsible" person I am--HAHA!! I am too, responsible and so with that being said, I put gloves on and went to work. Some of my efforts were slighted but all I know is I know I was a huge asset and I saved them a lot of headache.
Although, I didn't get to spend December in the traditional way of preparation, I did get to go to Sandy's Violin Recital. She has become an excellent violinst. I am so glad she is back studying with Bonnie Romkey in St. George. She was very ill that day and pulled off a beautiful performance of "I Saw Three Ships" by Bestor. Ms. Bonnie let me know that Sandy is ready for a full size violin and the one that Sandy wants is about $5000. For some reason I am not afraid of that number because I know she will play with all her heart. But Kyle suggested that we let her choose her violin and go on a little Violin shopping excursion.
I did go to Ella's Christmas program at school. She was darling in everyway. She sang "All I want for Christmas is my Tooth front teeth." This song was particularly darling because there was probably 15 kids in her class room that had lost their front teeth. This is her best friend Aubrey. And my friend Danay is Ella's other mother. She is so good to Ella and I was especially grateful during the month of December that they were around. Ella is doing well in School and she is starting piano lessons when they go back to school. She is so excited about this new adventure. Normally I don't start my girls until they are in Second grade but Ella has been begging me to do this and she is quite the little clogger.
Attie, Sandy, and Ella have been taking clogging this year and they have already a few recitals. It reminds me of the days when Amy, Katie and I did tap dance together. I hope they will be fond memories because this will be the only year they will dance together. Next year Sandy will move up to the Parowan team and then I will really be spread thin again.
This girl has grown up on me and she drives me crazy most days. She is a cute girl and thinks she is so funny. Actually she is really funny. This picture shows our annual Christmas tradition. Kyle's dad used to take their kids shopping for each other at the local Ace hardware and that is what we do at the dollar store with Kyle's parents. It's a really fun night and the kids enjoy spending time with their grandparents. But back to Kylee....in December she tried out for the Diversity Martial Arts Karate team and with her sister Attie-THEY MADE IT!! She is really excited for her first tournament in Las Vegas at the Winter Olympics. I have to admit, I am really excited for her too. She will be homeschooling this next semester with her sister Sandy. I am excited to have more time with them and their education.
Ammon had just received a shot for the crup 2 hours prior to this photo. He is quite the trooper and goes to the same Karate group his sisters do. Willie is doing well and really enjoys school. But these boys are so different. Ammon likes his room clean and Willie makes it a mess. But overall they play really well together. Willie is looking forward to this summer when I take Karate lessons with him. He is really quite flexible and good but needs someone to keep him focused. So it looks as if I will be attending Karate in May. :)
As for Kyle and I, we are still MADLY in love with each other.. :) He works really hard and stays focused on providing for his family. He and I are both still in school trying to finish our degrees and trying to be good examples to our children. And somehow between a few businesses, school, 6 kids, and juggling a very demanding relationship we seem to make it all work. I hope you all have a happy New year!! I write a bucket list every year and this year I accomplished almost all and I thought that was really great. This year I have more for travel plans so we shall see what I put in the universe and what I will get back.
Love to all...
Sadie Lee
