On Being Genuine

I was driving home from taking the kids to school and I began listening to my daughters play list in the car... and Selena Gomez popped on and I began to jam out... then as I was sitting at the stop light I thought... "I have 20 minutes to drive home... I really should listen to something more important... so I naturally went to the LDS APP and pulled up a random General Conference talk... but even more random for me is I chose one from 2015... and I couldn't see very well but apparently I chose one from the Priesthood session... and of course it had to be Dieter F. Uchtdorf... I do have my favorite apostles... I love them all and some I just connect with...and I LOVED this talk...I resonated with it... I have been thinking a lot about the fear about the corona virus and about the election year... and about social media and I've been thinking about all the hate and the negativity that is floating around on social media... how sides are divided... does it mean you are being real by being so negative and angry at people who want something different from you... If we ALL really wanted LOVE wouldn't there be more tolerance... less fear... and more faith... this talk put into perspective the real need... and as genuine and REAL as YOU all think you are... if you don't have LOVE & Tolerance & Service and Faith then you are missing the whole point of being REAL!!!

The natural man is an enemy to GOD... putting a show on and pretending to be perfect isn't the key to life... Serving the sick, afflicted, needy, hungry, lonely .... looking out for others...

I've been thinking a lot about what our Church stands for and I've been thinking a lot about the Priesthood... I have a friend who has a platform called... ORDER OF MAN... he has a great following and he is on a mission to help and support Men in their calling as MEN!! But I want to go a step further...

There are Men on this earth that hold the Power of God... The Priesthood is here on the earth just like in the days of the Saviour... We have a living prophet... this is what's real... and I would like to call upon the Men that hold this Priesthood... Please use it... exercise it... we need the Priesthood to rise up in so many ways... find those families... women support your men... our world needs the Priesthood to bless our homes, the sick, the weary, the lonely... don't be afraid to ask for a blessing... have faith... God is being taken away from us on so many political levels and we need to Rise... we need to be bold in our faith and ASK...

I love being empowered by the Holy Ghost... I love the feeling of the Spirit running through my body and testifying that YES... this is true... YES... he is an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ...

I am not perfect... I want to be there for you... I want to comfort you... support you... pray for you...

My prayer is that when prompted we follow that prompting... My daughter has been very ill and there many more that are suffering much more then her... but I was grateful to be able to ask for a priesthood blessing... it does require faith to ask... it requires humility and meekness... it requires strength and belief and it requires complete SUBMISSION to our Heavenly Father... I do believe it has cured, and healed.... I have never witnessed such miracles... but I have witnessed the peace... the love... patience... of a loving saviour who takes on these burdens...

Love you all... Be Genuine... I still have lots to learn... and I have so much to be grateful... I hope you all have a Happy Day...
