I think today was very ground breaking in my life. I actually had a life changing experience. I was told by a family member that she would pray that I become a woman of God. This left me to ponder what kind of woman I think I am trying to become. I didn't realize that there are actually people out there with magnifying glasses on and watching from the sidelines my life.
I was under the impression that good Christian, especially Relief Society Women weren't there to watch you but to help you. I would like to say this: I am far from being a perfect woman of God but I am a daughter of God and for anyone to try to discount that and take that away from me let's me believe they have greater issues within themselves that need to be addressed.
I have had a great day dispite the news that I am not an adult and that I talk in circles and that I am a dark human being. I have felt the Spirit of the Lord with me this day. I have only felt sorry and pity for this sibling. I have the best kids in the world too. Kylee bought some cute reminders of what a GREAT mom, friend, and simply person I am.
I have always talked to my girls about their relationships with their extended family. I think it is imperative for them to create a relationship with them if they would like. Even if it means I don't have one with that relative. I tell my girls I will always support you and never have enemity or anomosity.
I am so grateful for the GOD I believe in and to know that for situations like these Jesus Christ took the sting from me. This is what the Atonement is all about. This is why Christ died for all of us. So that we are able to quickly pick ourselves back up and quickly get back to serving those who really matter and need us.
So thank you Katie for teaching me these invaluable lessons. Thank you for putting yourself above me and showing me my nothingness. Because I truly am nothing without God and my Saviour Jesus Christ. I am grateful to truly know truths.
I will never be a woman of God to this poor soul but I know that I am a sinner and I am in need of his mercy. I do not think that because I am mormon or baptised that I am better than those who are catholic or of any religion. I know God is no respector of persons and I know much more is expected of me because I have been blessed to gain a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope by reacting the way I did today that I did grow up a little bit and that I did learn something from this whole experience.
My God bless us all for striving to be who we are meant to be and to bless us for sharing what we were meant to share.
Thank you to my children who respect my wishes and are obedient to my words. Thank you to my children for learning what they live. Thank you to my children for living what they learn and for respecting others. Thank you to my children for not being afraid to be themselves and for seeking out the best in themselves and expecting the best out of others. Thank you to my children for loving me and not being afraid to know me. Thank you to my children for loving each other and caring for one another. Thank you to my children for being honest, trustworthy, and always looking for the good in others.
Love MOM!!
